Conference Interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting

In simultaneous interpreting, the speaker’s statements are converted into the target language by the interpreter with only a very short delay. This service requires special technical equipment (booth, headphones, microphones, etc.).

Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting is mostly used for short meetings, seminars or conferences with a limited number of participants. A consecutive interpreter listens to the speaker, takes notes and relates the information faithfully to the audience, alternating with the speaker in bouts of up to several minutes.

Chuchotage (whispered interpreting)

Chuchotage or whispered interpreting means that translations are whispered on-the-spot into the listener’s ear while the speaker is speaking. Without technical

Liaison interpreting
